The board of Reformed Believers Publishing plans to hold the seventh annual association meeting on October 23, 2026, at First Reformed Protestant Church. The address of the church is 694 Jackson Street, Grandville, Michigan. The time of the meeting is to be determined. Rev. Earl Kamps intends to give the keynote address on the topic “The Efficacious Work of the Holy Spirit.”
The retiring board members this year are Andy Birkett and Ed Ophoff III. The board takes this opportunity to thank these men for their years of service on the board. Jason Cleveland, Henry DeVries, James Jansma, and Ed Ophoff II, have been nominated to fill the two vacant seats on the board.
Soon the secretary of the board will email the agenda to the association members with further details of the meeting. In the meantime, especially to be noted are the following motions that the board has taken:
Art. 14. Motion was made to amend the constitution by removing the class of associate membership from Reformed Believers Publishing and to give regular membership to the current associate members. It was noted that all amendments required for this will be forwarded to the association for approval.
Ground: Men and women alike are free in their office of all-believer to give a witness of the truth of the gospel through regular membership in the organization of Reformed Believers Publishing.
Motion carried.
Art. 15. Motion was made to amend the constitution to limit nominations for board membership to men only. It was noted that all amendments required for this will be forwarded to the association for approval.
Ground: It would not be prudent to have our women serve as board members. “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.” I Corinthians 10:23
Motion carried.
The board also reminds our readership that any men or women who desire to join us in the glorious cause of Reformed Believers Publishing to publish and promote the truth of justification by faith alone can download and fill out the membership request form that is found on the Membership page of the Reformed Believers Publishing website and email the form to office@reformedbelieverspub.org.
